So Festive!

I've recently picked up my second pack of the Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens. Such a creative way to describe it, in my opinion- "linens", rather than blotting sheets as what other brands name theirs. haha. This is actually a limited edition of same product, hence the festive japanese theme packaging compared to their original packaging.

-Extremely portable and lightweight. You can carry it with you wherever you go. It's just slightly bigger than a business card.
-Works very well to blot away oil whenever you need the boost of freshness from muggy weather or if you're just simply oily.
-No preservatives and 100% linen. Green tea is also great for the skin so that's a plus!
-A better deal than Clean & Clear's Oil Blotting Sheets which only consist of 50 sheets for roughly almost $7! Boscia blots provide 100 no preservative linens for $10.

Mini Winnie Haul ^^

There really isn't much that I bought that I can haul about, but here are the two items I picked up over the weekend and currently LOVING!

Memoirs of a Kitty Palette

When I first saw this in a magazine, I went nuts just staring at the packaging. Such beautiful packaging inside/out and just catches your attention on the spot lol. Two weeks later, it finally came out at Sephora so I knew I had to get it, and so yeah.. I got it. haha
This palette contains 4 neutral shadows on top and 2 blushes on the bottom. Small enough to carry around making it very convenient and portable if you ask me lol

I especially love this palette for their neutral colors and blushes. Also the fact that it contains only 4 shadows and 2 blushes, not like some neutral palettes I've seen that contain so many neutrals where I gotta pull one of those, "Oh! I'll use this one today!.. or hmm.. maybe this one!.. No wait.. that one!" kind of moment. Naaa'mean?! lol. Seriously.. it really kills time -_-

Marc by Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Watch
I've also purchased this rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch from Macy's. They had a 25% dc event over the weekend, which also applies to designer products, so I had to take my chances haha. I've been looking for a watch for a while but I never seem to settle down on one i really like. I mean I have, but I always end up changing my mind. I really like this one though, cause it's simple yet feminine :)

That is all! Have a good one!..
..cause I sure will with these items :)

Guerlain Lippies

I know i haven't blogged in a while, but i'm still alive don't worry :) School started last week for me so i've been busy focussing on that and building up my portfolio. So far so good. I'll be posting up my latest work of art soon.

This is a continuation of my lipstick collection that i've decided to share with you guys. Since i'm done presenting my YSL lippies, here are so far the three Guerlain lippies i own.

Guerlain KissKiss in 555 Beige Groove (a beige muavy matte color)
I purchased this from Sephora, but when recently went on the website, it was gone! No worries though, it's available online at SaksFifthAvenue.
523 Exces De Rouge (a vibrant berry red) Also purchased from Sephora, but is not available online at Saks5thAve.

Although its' scent isn't anything special and may smell like a lipstick i can buy for $1 at local drugstores, this lipstick is very moisturizing, long lasting, stays true to color, and just glides on when applying. Very lightweight gold metal casing. This product retail for $31.50 ea. Pretty expensive sad to say. I just found it weird that their pricing has a cent number to it lol It's not just $31, but an additional $0.50.
Overall Rate: 4/5

Rouge G de Guerlain Jewel Lipstick Compact
(i know right, such a long name -_-)
Color in 06 Garance (a dull rosie color that creates a natural yet splash of color for light-medium golden skin tones)

I found this pretty cool where you slide the lippie out and then..
TADAAAA! It opens up into a compact with a double sided mirror! haha i found this so clever yet creative! Designed by Lorenz Baumer, most talented jeweler in Paris, from the Place Vendome.

This product is some serious stuff. Extreme heavy duty silver packaging, shaped like a bullet. (i'm sure i can injure someone with this if i threw it :x) Double sided mirror inside makes life so much easier when applying it. Color stays true and very hydrating. Doesn't last as long as KissKiss, but still a very good investment if you're willing to splurge. Retail for $46. Yes, indeed very pricey but oh damn, every time i pull it out, it just brings a sense of luxury.. just.. AH! *dances like a little girl* :D
Overall Rate: 4.5/5

Here are the swatches.

MORE OF HELLO KITTY FOR SEPHORA! yay :)
I've purchased two more items from that line in early January to put with the rest of my collection so far. (refer back to post)
I personally have a big thing for mirrors. From big mirrors to compact mirrors, i lovem' all! My sister bought me the Hello Kitty Handheld Mirror for Christmas, so I decided to buy the rest of the mirrors that came with the Hello Kitty line at Sephora. I know it was sort of a waste of money to get so many mirrors meanwhile i have ones that are still usable, but what the heck, leave me be.. :)

**I'm actually going to repost pictures of the handheld mirror that way the HK collection of mirrors are in one place and not scattered in different posts.**

Hello Kitty Compact Mirror

Review:
-This mirror was very cute at first sight.
-You dont quite have to open it up to view yourself on there.
-Very smooth surface, but can be dirtied on first touch.
-This mirror only opens up to a 90 degree angle.
-It's also very quite hard to open. Maybe it's just me but i had to dig my nails in there to get it to open. :(
-Retail for $18.00
Overall:
I would give this product a 4/5 because of how hard i had to try to get it to open

Hello Kitty Bling Mirror
HK face imprint on the inner lid

came with a little black baggy for you to put the mirror in, in between uses
(also with HK face imprint)

BAM! bling it up baby! :)))

the other side of the mirror with a HK scripted name on the corner
(sorry my camera couldn't pick the name up)

 Review:
-Pretty heavy duty packaging
-rhinestones are tightly glued on all around the HK face (thank God)
-i didn't know it wasn't a compact mirror when i first bought it and yes i was a bit disappointed when i got home.
-This mirror retail for $49.00, which i thought was pretty pricy for a mirror that's not even a compact.
Overall:
Pricey, but heavy duty enough to break someone's head when tossed at them (ha ha!)

Last but not least- Hello Kitty Handheld Mirror (yes again)

Review:
-This mirror can also be easily dirtied on first touch.
-Just like the HK compact mirror, very smooth surface and don't necessarily have to flip to the mirror side to view self, considering that its chrome all over, including the handle lol
-has a jewel print bow which i find so cute
-Retail for $35.00
Overall:
Very sturdy and worth the price. (thanks sis!)

I decided to throw in my TOTD (T-shirt of the Day)!

Knit top from Forever21 -$8.80

bye bye!

Golden Swag

I have this habit where i play with different eyeshadows and experiment with collaborating colors to create a smokey eye for fun. I've played with multiple colors, but was just too lazy to take pictures of it.

Now since i've started a blog, i will try my best to take pictures of the looks and post them.
For starters i was inspired by one of TiffanyD's eye makeup tutorials on YouTube, where she used a navy Stila Kajal Eyeliner as a smudge liner for a base color so i decided to give the eyeliner a try. (Yes, this look was mainly to experiment with the Stila Kajal Liner) I chose to stick to my neutrals and used gold/brown/bronze.

Color in "Tiger"

Eye Products used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance to prime my eyes
Stila Kajal Eyeiner in Tiger to smudge out on the outer corner & use as a base color
MAC Satin Taupe on the outer half of the eye
Loreal HIP Duo in Shady836- Gold side for my inner half of the eye & bottom inner 1/3 of my lashline
Shady836 (again)- Dark Brown side for a touch of noticeable color on top of the Satin Taupe, on the outer corner
Lancome Artliner to line my upper lashline
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline to line the outer 3/4 of my lower lashline
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara for my bottom lashes (i did not curl nor apply mascara on my upper lashes for this look)

Brushes used:
Sephora I.T. Smudge Shadow Brush to smudge out the Stila Kajal Eyeliner
ELF Professional Blending Eye Brush to apply Satin Taupe
ELF Professional Eyeshadow Brush to apply the HIP Gold
ELF Professional Defining Eye Brush to apply HIP Brown
Sephora Professional Rounded Crease Brush in #13 to blend out harsh edges
Toki Doki Eyeliner Brush to apply Blacktrack Fluidline

Other:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brown Pencil in Medium Brown for of course, my eyebrows
YSL Anti-Cernes Multi-action Concealer in #3 Pink Beige with the Sephora I.T. Concealer Brush to hide my eye bags (ha ha!)
Carmex Chapstick to moisturize my lippies

FINITO!

**This is my first post for eye makeup so i didnt take any photos for a step by step picture tutorial, but my next post relating to eye makeup, will show the procedure.

Thanks for your time! :)

Fuchsia for the Futuree!

Product Review: YSL FARD À LÈVRES ROUGE PUR SPF 8

I honestly much prefer the ysl fard a lèvres over their infamous rouge volupté lipstick. Fact being that the rouge volupté is more of a creamy texture which when applied, feels more sticky and easily smudgable. As for the fard a lèvres, the stay power seems to last longer, which means i don't have to constantly check myself in the mirror for smudges and mess ups. I mean c'mon who wants a lipstick that bleeds all over your mouth like you just made out with somebody.

One thing about this lipstick that i wish they had done better in is the packaging. Not like the rouge volupté, where it's heavy duty and very well constructed, the packaging of this lipstick is made of plastic, painted gold. It's super lightweight and just doesn't give that luxurious feeling as what the rouge volupté gives when you hold it. But that's just my opinion.

These retail for $30.00 at Sephora. A bit pricey for a lipstick though, especially since the packaging suck. But overall, worth the price for the texture and stay power, plus the fact that it stays true to color when applied.

Hello Kitty for Sephora

I've just recently received a package in the mail from my sister via USP and guess what it was!! ..HELLO KITTY Beauty products! Products shown were purchased from the Sephora website and was considered a preview of what Sephora would be launching in mid January.

Hello Kitty Hand Held Mirror
Hello Kitty Apple Cheeks
Hello Kitty Sweet Gloss

Look! The box has Hello Kitty/Bow details on them. Very cute.
This mirror is actually chrome colored which makes it look very bamf :)

I loved how the bow wasn't a smooth surface like the rest of the mirror, but instead had jewel textures on it.

The products were really sheer. I actually had to swipe the product on my hand for a good 10 seconds for it to show up on camera. But indeed very wearable for an everyday look.

Thanks to my sister for these amazing Hello Kitty Products. Check out her blog at hok5.blogspot.com
